Our client, a long-standing leader in the re-commerce space is investing significantly to capture white-space opportunity in the market and is seeking a Chief Commercial Officer who will ensure the integrated commercial success of the company while shaping its strategic planning for growth. As part of the executive team, the CCO will own the customer experience, manage the marketing and merchandising teams, and implement effective commercial strategies to expand the customer base and accelerate the growth trajectory. This is a great opportunity for someone who is a hands-on leader, likes to dive into data, and has strong experience in marketing, ecommerce and business development.

Responsibilities include:

• Create an integrated customer journey and improve the overall customer experience for a global audience
• Develop strategic direction for all commercial functions including Sales, Marketing and Customer Support / Customer Experience
• Direct management of the Marketing team and overall ownership of the Strategic Marketing plan
• Develop “voice of customer” insights and recommendations
• Develop and implement a plan to increase brand awareness
• Develop and monitor quality metrics to ensure outstanding service and customer support
• Identify key customer segments and personas in order to grow the customer base

Ideal candidates will have:

• Proven senior-level work experience in Commercial leadership, Strategy, or Marketing roles
• Strong leadership ability and track record of leading digital teams
• Working knowledge of digital marketing, analytics and eCommerce, ex. design & build of revenue generating destinations, development of digital marketing & social media strategies to build customer acquisition, engagement and retention
• Experience designing and implementing successful customer growth campaigns
• Proven ability to be hands-on while also operationally strong, strategic and results driven
• Ability to successfully work in an entrepreneurial, dynamic, and collaborative culture
• Prior experience within a startup, private equity-backed, or intrapreneurial eCommerce business that has experienced significant growth in revenue and market share is a plus
