The company is a leading manufacturer and installer of building products. They are profitable with nine-figure revenue and growing.
With a focus on long-term customer relationships and high satisfaction, they have a track record of leading commercial projects from start to finish, offering a complete package of products to meet companies’ needs. Their in-house staff designs, engineers, manufactures and installs all of its products.
The company is vertically integrated and pride themselves on providing each job site with prompt, complete, and safe deliveries via their own fleet of trucks driven by company employees.
The company owns and operates its own manufacturing facilities. With consistent investments being made the manufacturing operations houses state-of-the-art equipment that allows them to lead the industry with higher performing products and shorter lead times. They also operate their own fully accredited in-house performance test chamber.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Establish, document, and continually improve the Company’s systems of accounting and financial processes. Manage internal operating, accounting, and financial reporting controls, as well as further develop these areas including percentage of completion accounting.
- Oversee and support internal accounting controls to ensure proper segregation of duties, safeguarding of assets, adequate approval of transactions, and accuracy of reporting.
- Responsible for producing timely and accurate monthly financial reports, annual budgets, quarterly revenue/expense forecasts, and annual audits and tax compliance.
- Accountable for cash management and reporting to the Company’s investors and lenders.
- Work with President and production team in managing inventory, including a production forecast and monthly production schedule.
- Lead, manage and train staff in the accounting department and provide hands-on support to ensure all back-office functions work smoothly.
- Evaluate cross-functional business practices to identify and implement processes and procedures to increase efficiency.
Requirements:
- Degree in accounting or finance with prior experience as a Controller or Director of Finance of a manufacturing and/or construction-related business. CPA is a nice to have.
- Strong knowledge of GAAP accounting, revenue recognition, percentage of completion accounting, and full-cycle accounting processes including AP, AR, and inventory management.
- Experience with project costing and implementation of cost accounting practices
- Results oriented with proven team building and leadership skills.
- Team player with a proven ability to successfully manage multiple projects at the same time.
- Data driven and can demonstrate a strong comprehension of data, data analysis and analytics.
Desired Skills:
- Proficient in Quickbooks, Procore, Textura
- Prior experience working on M&A transactions and with private equity investors is a plus but also an opportunity.
- Prior experience working in manufacturing and/or construction-related and project-oriented industries is a plus.
