Title: Executive Director/Head of Cybersecurity
Location: California – Hybrid 2x a week in office – relocation available
Role Type: Full Time Permanent Position

Our client, a direct to consumer fast growing 5 billion dollar company, is looking for a Head of Cybersecurity. You will be responsible for overseeing protection and governance of all technical assets, including information/data, computer systems, and POS Systems, to ensure components meet security and regulatory requirements. Tasked with developing the vision and strategies while managing the implementation of global security policy, guidelines, and procedures in collaboration with other leaders and stakeholders.

DUTIES:

• Responsible for the long-term vision and strategy of the organization’s cybersecurity posture.
• Leads a team that ensures the protection of information/data, to meet regulatory requirements
• Oversees the development and implementation of global security policy, guidelines, and procedures
• Works with the team, internal business partners, and vendors to ensure and maintain regulatory compliance and system integrity.
• Works with a team to implement, configure, and document new security systems, such as firewalls, intrusion detection, intrusion prevention systems, and security information.
• Develops programs and plans to ensure GRC management programs meet business needs and are delivered successfully.
• Establishes strategic risk guidance for technical initiatives.
• Standardizes appropriate PKIs to lead effective management of the Cybersecurity initiatives and team.

EDUCATION & CERTIFICATIONS

• CISSP, CISM, or CISA required.
• Bachelor’s degree: master’s degree preferred
• Twelve+ years of IT governance or security related experience, with increasing management responsibility
• ITIL certification preferred.

SKILLS REQUIRED:

• Comprehensive knowledge of IT security technologies, server management, including Group Policy
• Comprehensive knowledge of firewall and intrusion prevention systems
• Comprehensive knowledge of authentication, authorization and encryption controls for the entire end-to-end information flow across all technical components
• Thorough understanding of networking and Windows OS, Point of Sale-ready OS
• Strong leadership, people management, and internal and external relationship building skills
