Our leading food and beverage team is looking to hire an External Manufacturing Manager! This individual will be responsible for overseeing the commercialization of new products, ensuring seamless execution from concept to market launch. The ideal candidate brings a strategic mindset, strong leadership capabilities, and a hands-on approach to managing supplier relationships and production operations at external manufacturing sites. This is an exciting opportunity for a proactive and results-driven professional to contribute to a growing and dynamic organization.
Key Responsibilities:
- Serve as the primary point of contact for co-manufacturing partners, maintaining strong supplier relationships.
- Oversee day-to-day operations at co-manufacturing sites, including:
- Monitoring and tracking key performance indicators (KPIs).
- Conducting performance reviews and identifying process improvements.
- Ensuring high standards of service, product quality, and cost efficiency.
- Managing project timelines, deliverables, and commercialization goals.
- Align external production capabilities with projected business needs to ensure capacity planning.
- Support innovation trials by tracking progress, addressing scope changes, and ensuring alignment with internal teams.
- Evaluate feasibility and develop strategies for sourcing, logistics, and production planning.
- Lead multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring all initiatives are executed effectively.
- Assist with special projects, reports, and cross-functional initiatives as needed.
Qualifications:
- Strong understanding of operational processes and supply chain management.
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects under tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to drive collaboration across teams.
- Knowledge of food and/or beverage manufacturing processes and packaging technology is a plus.
- Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Operations Management or a related field.
- 6+ years of experience in manufacturing and/or supply chain management.
- Experience within food & beverage
