We are working with a private equity fund backed by a prominent family with offices in Paris and Los Angeles. Currently investing out of a $500 mm vehicle, the firm invests $40-50 million equity tickets with a long-term mindset across healthcare services, business services, and consumer services businesses in North America.
The US team seeks to add an Associate to the Los Angeles office for a near-term/Q1 start.
Responsibilities
- As a core member of the Los Angeles-based investment team, you will be responsible for:
- Screening and analysis of new investment opportunities
- Autonomous research on potential targets, markets, shareholders, and management
- Conducting intensive due diligence on company financials and data
- Building detailed operating and LBO models to forecast future performance and returns
- Drafting of comprehensive investment memorandum for presentation to the Investment and Strategic Committees
- Monitoring of current portfolio companies alongside investment partners and stakeholders
Ideal Profile
- 2-3 years of investment banking experience or private equity experience
- Excellent academic background from a leading university
- Strong financial modeling/valuation and analytical skills
- Sophisticated communication and interpersonal prowess
- Deep intellectual curiosity for a variety of industries
