Our client a leader in their industry has engaged our firm to place a Procurement Category Manager focused on either Information Technology categories such as Software, SAAS, IT services, hardware OR indirect corporate services such as facilities, HR, marketing, Tax etc. This exciting role is based in the Baltimore area with hybrid work available. The ideal candidate will have strong communication/influencing, contracting and negotiation skills proven in a highly collaborative environment.

Responsibilities/Qualifications:

  • 4+ years Information technology or Corporate services procurement and/or sourcing experience including but not limited to recruiting software and job boards or any other indirect professional services categories
  • Develop category plans, as well as strategic relationships with suppliers
  • Expert level in conducting strategic supplier sourcing activities including RFx, negotiations, contracting, price analyses, and program management to support new strategies
  • Extensive complex contract procurement experience including negotiating and redlining commercial and legal terms and conditions
  • Proven history of developing and maintaining relationships with key stakeholders, leadership, and Executives, and ability to influence decisions to achieve business goals
