Sales Director, Walmart

Our client, a fast growing and nimble consumer goods company, is seeking an entrepreneurial and results-oriented Sales Director who will be responsible for the Walmart business, including Walmart US, Walmart CA, and Sam’s Club. In this role, the Sales Director will facilitate the short and long-term growth of the Walmart business in-store and online, and will be instrumental in expanding current business and developing new revenue opportunities.

Responsibilities include:

• Implement strategic business plans that maximize customer revenue, profitability, and service levels
• Build market share, expand distribution and implement programs to ensure retail prominence at Walmart
• Oversee the development of yearly budget plans and monthly forecasts
• Identify promotional opportunities to attain and exceed sales targets as well as gain share
• Work with sales operations and finance teams to ensure the success of customer execution and attainment of financial and performance objectives

Ideal candidates will have:

• Bachelor’s degree and 8+ years of major account sales management; experience managing the Walmart business preferred
• Background in the Housewares industry
• Ability to help develop product lines
• Strong understanding of channel strategy
• Proven ability to lead, own and drive programs and processes
• Strong knowledge of syndicated data analysis, data metrics, shopper behavior, brand & competition
• Ability to develop visual presentations and spreadsheets
