Job Title: Senior Financial Analyst
As an FP&A expert, your responsibilities will include providing financial insights and projections to the executive team. You will provide reliable data and analysis to be used in decision-making and planning. This role will report directly to a great mentor, the head of FP&A. The ideal candidate will have strong Excel, modeling and variance analysis skills.
DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Analyze financial data and become a subject matter expert to provide additional insights.
- Work on corporate projects and initiatives that impact the entire organization.
- Create presentations that provide insightful analysis, identify required action items, and effectively frame decisions to be made.
- Support in the preparation of the annual budgets and forecasting activities.
- Identify and research variances to forecast, budget, and prior-year expenses, proactively identifying opportunities for improvement.
- Develop and maintain effective relationships with business partners and cross-functional teams at all levels of the organization.
- Champion the use of technology to automate manual processes.
- Assist in the month-end close process (reporting / month-end-close activities).
- Monitor performance indicators, highlighting trends and analyzing causes of unexpected variance
- Maintains or assists with maintenance of accounting information systems.
- Prepares and delivers comprehensive evaluations, proposals, and recommendations to executive leadership, committees, and other stakeholders.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
REQUIRED SKILLS/ABILITIES:
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Demonstrates excellent financial and quantitative skills.
- Thorough understanding of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP).
- Strong Excel skills required; proficient in Word and PowerPoint.
- Experience with Power BI, Vena a plus
