The Senior ServiceNow Developer plays a crucial role in developing comprehensive solutions across various domains such as IT Service Management, HR Service Delivery, and Custom Applications. They provide expert guidance to developers and administrators, addressing advanced user-reported issues. Proficient in business processes and administration of multiple modules and integrations, they operate within an Agile Scrum Methodology, collaborating cross-functionally across different platform modules. Working closely with the Platform Architect, they identify solutions through existing functionalities or customizations, and are involved in the development, testing, installation, and maintenance of new or modified solutions. This role demands advanced knowledge of the ServiceNow platform, including advanced training, certifications, and proficiency in various front-end web development languages.

Principal Responsibilities:

  • Architect solutions across ITSM, HRSD, and Custom Applications to streamline operations and enhance user experience.
  • Lead the design and implementation of complex ITSM workflows for efficient escalations and communications.
  • Customize and configure Discovery, Event Management, and the CMDB to automate incident creation and enhance infrastructure visibility.
  • Collaborate with SecOps teams to automate ticket routing and improve detection workflows.
  • Drive HRSD improvement through Case Management, Onboarding, and Employee Experience optimization.
  • Manage small projects for Custom Applications development, aligning requirements to business needs, and creating standard operating procedures.
  • Lead integration efforts for new modules, store applications, integrations, and spokes.
  • Interface with executive stakeholders to align ServiceNow solutions with business goals.
  • Mentor junior developers and provide guidance on scripting techniques and best practices.
  • Design simple solutions aligned with business process needs.
  • Oversee development and data management for integrations with other systems and services.
  • Create and maintain technical documentation in the Knowledge Base.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • 4 years’ experience with Rest APIs.
  • 4 years’ experience with web-based development languages (JavaScript, HTML, CSS, AJAX, HTTP, XML).
  • 4 years’ experience with SQL and relational databases.
  • 2 years’ experience with IT Service Management (ITSM) & HR Service Delivery (HRSD).
  • ITIL related certification (Foundations or higher).
  • ServiceNow Certified Application Developer (including recent Deltas).
  • Experience with Integration Hub, Managed and Custom Spokes.
  • Experience building Custom Applications, including roles, tables, metrics, & reporting.
  • Ability to present technical information to diverse audiences.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 4 years’ experience in IT, software development, or ServiceNow administration.
  • ServiceNow Certified System Administrator & Certified ServiceNow Developer.
  • 3 Additional Certifications within ServiceNow modules.
  • Experience with Agile/Scrum methodology.
