Our amazing client is seeking a Sr. Linux/OpenShift DevOps Engineer to join their dynamic team. Responsibilities will include designing, developing, deploying, configuring, troubleshooting, and maintaining self-hosted/cloud infrastructure components.
Technical platform: OpenShift, Kubernetes, Gitlab, backup and recovery systems, SAN, VMware vSphere, RedHat Satellite servers, Ansible Automation platform (AAP), and Jenkins (CI/CD), among other DevOps tools.
This role will help maintain existing systems, lead infrastructure enhancement projects, and incorporate new technologies such as cloud-based infrastructure, containerization, and business continuity solutions.
What you will be doing:
- Manage Linux/OpenShift infrastructure and cloud platforms.
- Utilize VMware vSphere and OpenShift platform to orchestrate containerized applications and microservices.
- Automate software development and delivery processes using tools like Jenkins, Git, Ansible, etc.
- Develop and deploy scripts and code in languages such as Python, Java, Bash, etc.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to software performance, security, reliability, and scalability.
- Collaborate with other teams to ensure quality and timely delivery of software products.
- Design, develop, install, configure, and maintain servers, networks, and applications.
- Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines.
- Automate application and service deployments.
- Troubleshoot pipeline issues across various environments.
- Assist with integration of DevOps tools.
- Assist with daily system backups.
What you bring to the table:
- Depth of experience in Linux administration, cloud computing, and DevOps engineering.
- Proficiency with OpenShift, Kubernetes, and DevOps tools.
- Experience in scripting and programming languages.
- Knowledge of web technologies, networking protocols, and CI/CD tools.
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
- Willingness to work in a Dev SecOps oriented environment.
- Experience with VMware vSphere, Ansible, Azure, AWS, RHEL, etc.
- Certification in relevant technologies preferred.
