Andy Miller, President & CEO
Andy founded BrainWorks in 1991, and he has led our Consumer Products practice for two decades. He’s a stickler for process and he has been the driving force behind our proprietary Talent Acquisition Profile and Talent Evaluation Process.
Andy received a master’s degree at Temple University in Counseling Psychology and spent three years in social services settings. After transitioning to business, Andy spent 10 years in the telecommunications field, winning numerous sales awards, including five consecutive years in the Gold Club and Salesman of the Year. He is currently a member of the prestigious Pinnacle Society – a consortium of the top 75 recruitment professionals in the country.
Andy’s passion and experience from competitive sports combined with his psychology background provides a unique blend of competitiveness and people skills which has influenced how he works with both clients and candidates. This unique mix of talents is the basis of Andy’s philosophy — to help clients win the competitive wars for talent by assessing, training and developing people toward greater productivity.

Ilene Schneider, Senior Client Manager
Ilene has been in the executive search industry since 2002, and she has worked as a strategic partner in identifying top talent for industry leaders throughout Consumer Products, across a wide variety of functional disciplines including sales, marketing, product management, operations, logistics, merchandising, creative and in the executive suite.
Prior to joining BrainWorks, Ilene spent eight years as Senior Staff for the Head of Human Resources Administration for the City of New York on various projects including recruitment, employee development/assessment and benefits management. Ilene has a unique combination of insight, persistence and dedication to excellence which has helped her complete even the most difficult searches.
Ilene received her B.S. from Brooklyn College and her masters’ degree from Hunter College.
Stacy Edelman, Recruiter
Stacy Edelman has over 20 years of experience as an Executive Recruiter. She joined BrainWorks in 2019 as a Recruiter in their Consumer Products practice working as a strategic partner in identifying top talent for CPG industry leaders, across a wide variety of functional disciplines including Sales, Marketing, Product Management, Operations, Logistics, Merchandising, Creative and in the Executive Suite.
Prior to joining BrainWorks, Stacy worked in the Corporate offices of Modern Woman, Sterns and Talbots. She spent 7 years as a Recruiter with Jjamz Associates, an Executive Search Firm specializing in the Retail/Wholesale Industry. In 2007 she began her own consulting business, EH Reis Consulting, partnering with clients such as The Children’s Place, R&B, and Bed Bath & Beyond to fulfill their hiring needs. Stacy has a passion for sourcing talent for those hard to fill roles.
Stacy holds a B.S. in Fashion Merchandising from the University of Arizona.
Guy O. Gomis, Partner
Guy established BrainWorks’ CRM, Analytics & Data Sciences practice in 1995. He has been in the executive search industry since 1993, and he has forged strategic partnerships with industry leaders including Nike, Walmart, American Express, and General Electric.
Guy and his team have conducted thousands of searches across a broad range of industries including catalog, retail, financial services, consumer package goods, pharmaceutical, and marketing services. His experience and knowledge across and within industries provide Guy with a unique ability to partner with clients in attracting top talent to drive business growth.
Guy received his B.S. in Economics and his M.B.A. from the University of Maine. In addition to BrainWorks, Guy’s experience includes building and developing SnellingSearch, a Division of Snelling Personnel Services.

Chricell Peters-Gomis, Search Consultant
Chricell Gomis started at BrainWorks in 2011 after graduating with her Bachelor’s degree from Kean University. She joined the Relationship Marketing and Decision Sciences Practice as a Search Consultant and is responsible for strategically sourcing superior talent to fill the multitude of searches in this practice area. Her charm and outgoing personality has enabled her to professionally connect and qualify many potential candidates.
Chricell also has trained as a professional dancer. Her grit and determination as a performer has enabled her to passionately succeed in being detail-oriented when connecting with, and qualifying candidates, while staying current with industry trends.
Marc Cohen, Account Manager
Marc began working at BrainWorks in 2017 after graduating from Drew University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Business Studies. He joined the CRM, Analytics, Data Sciences and Direct Marketing Recruiting Practice supporting Guy Gomis, Practice Leader. Marc specializes in sourcing and recruiting Data Science and Analytics professionals.
While at Drew University, Marc was an integral member of the Varsity Baseball Team and served on the Drew Baseball Leadership Committee. His participation in competitive sports has helped him to develop the people skills and discipline necessary to become a subject specialist in his field. Marc has since been promoted to an Account Manager partnering with internal and external stakeholders to execute on various projects nationwide across a multitude of consumer products industries.
Cathy Miller, CFO
Prior to joining BrainWorks, Cathy spent nearly a decade as the Head of Credit and Collections for a leading fuel oil company in the Northeast. Cathy joined Brainworks in 1991, and she has served as the Chief Financial/Administrative Officer for 20 years.
After receiving her bachelor’s degree from Tufts University, Cathy completed the masters’ program at Hahnemann University.
Eric Frickel, Managing Director
Private Equity & Portfolio Company Leadership
Eric Frickel leads the private equity and portfolio company leadership practice for Brainworks. Brainworks focuses on the recruiting needs of upper and middle management specifically within private equity investment teams and portfolio companies, investment banking, and corporate development & strategy.
During his 14 years in private equity and corporate finance executive search, Eric has successfully developed and managed numerous searches for pre and post MBA private equity investment teams placing top deal professionals. He has also been retained on several portfolio company CFO and Vice President of Finance positions with leading private equity groups. Additionally, Eric has represented many large and mid-market investment banking firms as well as corporate development and strategy groups of fortune companies. Eric has a unique capability of gaining full understanding of the clients he covers within his domain leveraging his background in consulting, investment banking, and public accounting. This background allows for a deep level understanding and technical screening of candidates’ knowledge of financial modeling, general business aptitude and overall transition into the buyside environments.
Eric previously started and managed the private equity search practice at a boutique firm in Atlanta, GA for 14 years before joining Brainworks in 2018. Eric began his career at Ernst & Young where he gained a strong background in accounting and M&A due diligence. He continued his career at a top middle market investment banking group at Duff & Phelps, in Chicago, IL as well as performed restructuring and litigation at Huron Consulting.
Eric holds a BS in accounting and finance from The University of Michigan. He resides in Greenwich, CT and is an avid runner and triathlete.
Todd Shiner, Partner
Accounting and Finance Practice Leader
Todd Shiner has been in the recruitment and search industry for nearly 20 years representing executives across all industries. He began his career with a New Jersey based CPA firm where he conducted forensic audits and corporate tax compliance. He then moved to the public sector where he quickly rose to becoming a Corporate Controller during the dot.com era. As a former Public Accountant and Controller, he understands how finance leaders can ensure compliance, mitigate risk and improve the bottom line.
Todd developed his expertise in accounting and finance executive search while with Korn Ferry, Michael Page, and Parker + Lynch (Adecco). His deep network consists of experienced CFOs, VPs of Finance, and Controllers along with executives specialized in Treasury, Tax, Reporting, Procurement, Audit and Compliance.
Todd has established clients ranging from the Fortune 50 to emerging private equity-backed companies across the United States. He has helped clients through M&A transactions, IPO’s, Capital Raising, Divestitures, and Business Transformation, Technical project and ERP system integration initiatives.
Todd is a degreed Accountant from Monmouth University. Outside of work, he enjoys spending time with his wife and daughters and supporting special needs community programs.
Cindy Miceli, Partner
IT & Data Engineering Practice Leader
Cindy Miceli has recently joined the BrainWorks team as Partner – IT Search Practice Leader. For almost 30 years, BrainWorks has delivered superior talent to drive business performance. Our consultants are experts in their practice areas, which include Consumer Products; CRM, Direct/Database Marketing & Customer Sciences/Advanced Analytics; Accounting & Finance; Digital Marketing & eCommerce; and Consumer Insights & Market Research. With the addition of Cindy to our team, we have added value and expanded our scope of services to include our clients’ IT staffing needs. Cindy brings with her a deep 25-year track record of success in this unique and highly competitive arena. Her extensive experience in the IT industry aids her in partnering with clients to secure talent for key C- level roles including: CIO, CTO, and Executives specializing in Development, Infrastructure, Data Management and Ecommerce. Her 25 years of IT recruitment experience allows her to manage the entire search lifecycle. She has the keen ability to produce fast results. Cindy has placed women in over 40% of her career placements – far exceeding the national average in the IT space.
Previously Cindy worked as a Recruiter for EDS, a Global IT Outsourcing company and Voxware, a VOIP Start-Up. She later earned the title of Top Producer at both Datanomics, an IT contracting company and Alta Associates, a Retained Search Firm in Cybersecurity. She proudly graduated from Rutgers University and holds residences in Hunterdon County NJ and at the Jersey Shore.
Renata Gaudenzi, Sales Support and Research Manager
Renata started with BrainWorks in 2016 and is the Sales Support and Research Manager. In addition to providing research and recruiting support to our Practice Areas, she is also highly involved with various marketing, website and information management activities.
Prior to joining BrainWorks, Renata worked as a manager in the Consumer Services Pricing Division of AT&T where she was responsible for tracking and documentation of consumer service offerings and pricing across the US, as well as acting as the primary liaison to multiple organizations with regard to state regulatory and pricing requirements. She later moved on to join the Marketing team of Delta Corporate Services, an IT consulting company, where she assisted with the formulation, and coordination of marketing activities and policies designed to promote company services along with providing recruiting and sales support.
Renata received her bachelor’s degree from Rutgers University.
